Application Process

Vermont Academy at Mount Snow accepts students/athletes on a rolling admissions basis for grades 6 to 12. Our initial application deadline is May 1. After that, applications will be considered on a rolling admissions basis. After we receive all application materials, we will notify you within four weeks.

Visit. We encourage you to spend a day with us to truly experience all that VA at Mount Snow offers. Visiting on a Tuesday or Thursday during the season is highly recommended. This allows potential students and parents the opportunity to sit in on classes, and then to ski or ride with a VA at Mount Snow coach, meet other students, participate in dry land training, tour the dorm and meet the house parents. Contact mtsnow@vermontacademy.org to arrange your visit.

Our application is via a shared Google Doc. You can save your progress and go back to your application to work on your essay questions. In addition to the essay questions, please be prepared to gather and submit the following: 3 letters of recommendation, recent report card/transcript, IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable), and $100 application fee.

Send us a quick email and we will send you the application materials.
